Murano 1950's Zanfirico Lattice Filigree Glass Vase #2

Description

A stunning Venetian glass vase, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Decorated with alternating stripes of white zanfirico lattice filigree, and red ribbons, with applied glass prunts filled with gold leaf inclusions.

Please note: Although this vase is obviously too small to hold a bunch of flowers, it is still classed as a vase. Small vases like this were often used to hold flowerheads, or miniature "sweetpea" flowers, or simply used as decorative ornaments.

Size

Measures approx 2.5 inches tall by 3 inches in diameter at widest point.

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
