Murano/Venetian Grey & Blue Sommerso Glass Vase

Description

A Venetian organic glass vase, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. In a stunning combination of smoky grey glass cased in blue glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique.

Size

Measures approx 5.5 inches tall by 2.75 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

The base rim shows signs of possible restoration, although this could have been done at the factory when it was originally made. There is also a tiny fleabite or scratch to one side. All shown in final pictures. Also a couple of other light surface scratches as you would expect to find on vintage glass.
