Whitefriars #9717 Baxter Kingfisher Blue Glass Volcano Vase

Description

A beautiful kingfisher blue & clear glass "Volcano" vase, from the textured range designed by Geoffrey Baxter for the renowned British firm Whitefriars, pattern number 9717. Shown in catalogues 1969 - 1973.

Size

Measures approx 7 inches tall by 4 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just a couple of manufacturing flaws - a minuscule blob of extra clear glass, very hard to spot due to the texture, and some small indentation lines to the base, which I am told were most likely formed when the hot glass was put on a wire mesh to cool in the lehr/kiln, as part of the manufacturing process. All shown in final pictures.
