Description
Here is an exquisite 1950's Venetian white glass bowl with a frothy bubble effect known as the
Pulegoso technique. Made on the island of
Murano, near Venice, Italy, by famous manufacturers
Venini, designed by
Carlo Scarpa, and bears their two line acid stamp manufacturing mark to the base, which reads:
"Venini, Murano". The mark is very faint as usual, but can just about be seen in the last picture. Hard to spot unless you know what to look for! Would make an excellent display piece.
Size
Measures approx 2.5 inches tall by 3.5 inches in diameter at widest point.
Condition
Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just a few dark specks in the glass, a natural result of the Pulegoso technique.
