Barbini Murano Amber & White Cased Glass Geode Bowl

This is a magnificent 1950/60's Venetian glass geode bowl, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Most likely made by Barbini. For a similar item with a Barbini label please click here. In a stunning combination of amber glass cased in a distinctive layer of opaque white Lattimo glass, which is further encased in a thick wall of clear glass, using the renowned Venetian Sommerso technique. A fabulous item, which catches the light beautifully. Would make an excellent display piece!

Measures approx 2.5 inches tall by 5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks other than a couple of minute fleabites and signs of minor restoration to the edge of the rim, possibly done at the factory. All shown in final pictures.
