Fratelli Toso Murano Copper Aventurine Orange Glass Bowl

Description

Here is a beautiful large and heavy (1.3 kilos unpacked) 1950/60's Venetian freeform glass bowl, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. This piece was made by Fratelli Toso, similar items from this range can be seen in the book "Italian Glass: Century 20" by Leslie Pina, pages 168 - 171. In a stunning combination of orange + opaque white cased glass, with golden coloured copper aventurine swirls! Still bears the blue "Murano Glass" label used on Fratelli Toso pieces.

Size

Measures approx 2.75 inches tall by 11 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks other than a tiny nick to the underneath part, near a curled section of the rim, shown in final picture.
