This is a magnificent 1920's/30's Venetian glass vase, made on the island of Murano
, near Venice, Italy. There are no makers marks, but I strongly believe this piece was made by Fratelli Toso
, similar items are shown in the book 'Italian Glass - Century 20'
by Leslie Pina, page 84. Made up of loads of green, white + yellow floral Millefiori
Although this vase is obviously too small to hold a bunch of flowers, it is still classed as a vase. Small vases like this were often used to hold flowerheads, or miniature "sweetpea" flowers, or simply used as decorative ornaments.
Measures approx 3 inches tall by 2 inches in diameter at widest point.
Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
