Description

Here is an exquisite 1950's Venetian amber glass bowl with a controlled bubble effect known as 'a bolle' encased in the glass. Made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy, by famous manufacturers Venini, designed by Carlo Scarpa, and bears their circular acid stamp manufacturing mark to the base, which reads: "Venini, Murano, Italy". As usual this is very hard to see unless you get the angle of light just right, see pics.

Size

Measures approx 1.75 inches tall by 4.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

No chips or cracks other than a fleabite to the rim, an air bubble on the rim that has lost it's surface, and a few small surface scratches, all shown in final pictures. Also lots of base wear scratches as to be expected.
