Salviati Murano Zanfirico & Aventurine Yellow Glass Plate

Description

Here is a wonderful Venetian glass plate/dish, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Decorated with alternating stripes of white zanfirico lattice filigree, and yellow & pink ribbons trimmed in copper aventurine. Made by Salviati, similar items are shown in the book "Italian Glass - Century 20" by Leslie Pina, page 139.
