Murano Uranium Green Sommerso Glass Decorative Bottle

Description

Here is a wonderful 1950/60's Venetian glass decorative bottle, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. In a stunning combination of turquoise blue glass cased in uranium yellow green glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique. The small amounts of Uranium in the glass cause this vase to glow bright green in UV light.

Measures approx 9.25 inches tall by 3.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Has a couple of nicks to the base rim, shown in final picture, and some internal staining from use.
