Cenedese Murano Gold Leaf Bubble Glass Tortoise - Signed

Description

Here is a beautiful Venetian glass tortoise sculpture, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Made by the famous Cenedeseglassworks, and signed to base "Gino Cenedese, Murano". In a stunning combination of clear glass filled with gold leaf inclusons, and a wonderful controlled bubble effect known as 'a bolle'.

Size

Measures approx 2.75 inches tall by 7 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks other than a small faint patch of frosting to the side of the tail, which could be the indication of a really tiny chip being ground out (there doesn't seem to be anything missing), or could simply be a manufacturing flaw. Shown in final picture.
