Galliano Ferro Murano Sommerso Green & Uranium Glass Stem Vase

Description

Here is a wonderful 1950/60's Venetian glass teardrop stem vase, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy, by Galliano Ferro. In a stunning combination of green glass cased in uranium yellow green glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique. The small amounts of Uranium in the glass cause this vase to glow a brilliant bright green in UV light.

Size

Measures approx 12.5 inches tall by 3.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Has a couple of fleabite nicks to the rim, and a small faint bruise mark to one side, all shown in final pictures. Also has minor internal staining from use.
