This is a magnificent 1950/60's Venetian glass vase, made on the island of Murano
, near Venice, Italy, probably by Fratelli Toso
. Similar vases are shown in the book 'Italian Glass - Century 20'
by Leslie Pina, page 94. Consists of a fluted green vase with opalescent white Lattimo
ribbing. A fabulous item, would make an excellent display piece.
Measures approx 8.5 inches tall by 4 inches in diameter at widest point.
Excellent condition, no chips or cracks other than a minute fleabite to the rim, shown in final picture. Also mentioned for total accuracy, there are a couple of tiny air bubbles in the glass and a couple of small, faint surface scratches, none of which are noticable or possible to photograph.
