Murano Venetian Red & Amber Sommerso Glass Vintage Vase

Description

Here is a wonderful Venetian organic glass vase, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy.  In a stunning combination of orangey red glass encased in amber glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the Venetian developed sommerso technique.

Size

Measures approx 8 inches tall by 5.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just some air bubbles in the base from the manufacturing process, which some may consider to be a manufacturing flaw, or simply a quirk of hand blown glass. Shown in final pictures.
