Murano / Venetian Purple & Blue Sommerso Glass Bowl / Ashtray

Description

A Venetian biomorphic glass bowl / ashtray, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. In a stunning combination of purple glass cased in blue glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique. Please note the inside layer may actually be pink, but appears purple due to the surrounding blue layer, very hard to know!

Measures approx 2.25 inches tall by 4.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just a few small surface scratches.
