Description

A stunning Victorian 1880's glass epergne vase with silver plated base / holder. Made in vaseline/uranium yellow green glass, which glows in UV light, with white opalescent rim. Most likely made by one of the British glass factories, such as John Walsh Walsh, Richardson or Thomas Webb. Marked on the base "ES&S, EP", indicating it is silver plated, and manufactured by E. Stacey & Son(s) of Sheffield, who ceased trading in 1888.

Size

Measures approx 7.75 inches tall by 5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks other than a small nick to the base end of the glass, shown in final picture.  Some age wear to the silver base, see pictures.
