LABELLED Vetri Molati Murano Faceted Brown & Amber Sommerso Glass Bowl

Description

Here is a wonderful Venetian glass bowl/ashtray, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy by Vetri Molati. In a stunning combination of brown glass cased in a band of amber glass, which is further encased in an angular block of clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique. This bowl bears two labels, one being from the glass factory and the other probably a retailer label. The first reads "V. A. M. Vetri Molati, Made in Murano" and the other reads "AM, Artigianato Muranese, Quality Trade Mark".

Size

Measures approx 2.5 inches tall by 5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Has a couple of tiny nicks to the inside rim, and a smooth manufacturing "dimple" to one edge, all shown in final pictures.
