Murano Vintage Red & Amber Sommerso Glass Swan Figurine

Description

Here is a wonderful large and heavy 1950/60's Venetian glass swan sculpture, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy.  In a stunning combination of red glass encased in amber glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique.

Size

Measures approx 8 inches tall by 5.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Has a nibble to one side of the tail, and what looks like minor restoration (small chips ground out) to the tip of the tail, all shown in final pictures.
