Victorian Satin Air Trap Peach & White Glass Antique Vase

Description

A Victorian 1900's peach + white satin cased glass vase, with "herringbone" air trap pattern. Possibly by one of the British makers from the Stourbridge area such as Thomas Webb, but could also be Czech/Bohemian, where similar glassware was made at the same time, for the British market. Similar items are shown in the book "Victorian Decorative Glass, British Designs, 1850-1914" by Mervyn Gulliver, pages 154 - 155, and in the book "Collectible Bohemian Glass 1880-1940" by Robert & Deborah Truitt, page 131.

Size

Measures approx 7 inches tall by 2.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

No chips or cracks, but does have several manufacturing flaws in the form of dimples and lines & blobs of extra glass, plus a horizontal surface scratch to one side, all shown in final pictures.
