Vetreria Artigiana Sanminiatello Empoli Blue & Brown Glass Vase

Description

A blue, orangey brown and white marbled vase, made in the region of Empoli, near Florence, Italy. Made by by Vetreria Artigiana Sanminiatello (V.A.S.), a glass factory in Montelupo, a few km from Empoli. The same shape and pattern are separately shown in pages of their factory catalogue. The shape and size is identified as shape number F/217V, shown [here], and similar marbled patterns are shown [here] and [here] (Facebook group membership needed to view). Very similar to designs by another Empoli factory called Vetreria Barbieri (also known as V.B. opaline Florence).

Size

Measures approx 9.75 inches tall by 4.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just a slightly uneven finish to the rim, which is quite normal and very common for these items, see final picture.
