Murano Purple & Uranium Green Sommerso Glass Sculpture Bowl

Description

Here is a wonderful large and heavy (1.8kg unpacked) Venetian organic glass sculpture bowl, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. In a stunning combination of purple glass encased in uranium green glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the Venetian developed sommerso technique. Glows bright green in UV light.

Size

Measures approx 10.75 inches tall by 7 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, but one of the protruding nodules looks a little mis-shaped, possibly due to having a tiny chip polished out. Hard to spot, and shown in final picture.
