Czech 1930's/40's Yellow, Red & Blue Glass Tango Vase

Description

A superb 1930's Czech/Bohemian bright yellow blown glass vase with applied blue glass rim and hot glass winding, and a thick orangey red handle. Probably by Welz or Kralik. Known as "mono-coloured" or "tango" glass, this technique was developed by Loetz around 1914.

Size

Measures approx 9 inches tall by 5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Has a small horizontal crack to the handle where it meets the main body of the vase (picture 6), and some minor loss to the blue trailing (picture 8).
