Galliano Ferro Murano Uranium Green Glass Bubble Bowl

Description

Here is a wonderful large and heavy (1.4 kilos unpacked) 1950/60's Venetian glass bowl / ashtray, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. This piece was made by Galliano Ferro, and brought into the UK by British importers Jaffe Rose. In a stunning combination of uranium green glass with a blue base and a controlled bubble effect known as 'a bolle'. Glows bright green in UV light.

Measures approx 2.75 inches tall by 6.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

No chips or cracks aside from a couple of minute pinprick fleabites to the side, shown in final pictures, and a few small surface scratches.
