Murano Vintage Red & Blue Sommerso Glass Lobed Bowl

Description

A Venetian organic glass sculpture bowl with large pulled lobes, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. In a stunning combination of orangey red glass cased in turquoise blue glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique.

Size

Measures approx 2.75 inches tall by 9.75 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Has a small nibble to the rim, which seems to have been partially ground out, as there is slight frosting to the rim finish. Also some scuff marks to the tip of one of the lobed sections. All shown in final pictures.
