Archimede Seguso Murano Polveri Gold Leaf Glass Dove Bird

Description

Here is a wonderful 1950/60's Venetian glass dove bird sculpture, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. This piece was made by Archimede Seguso, using their polveri technique. The attribution comes from labelled examples shown on the Collectors Weekly website [here]. In a stunning combination of red and clear glass with lots of gold leaf inclusions encased in the glass.

Measures approx 2.5 inches tall by 3.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
