Archimede Seguso Polveri Gold Leaf Glass Shell Bowl - Labelled

Description

This is a magnificent 1950/60's Venetian sculptural glass shell bowl, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. In a stunning combination of clear and dark smoky brown glass filled with gold leaf inclusions. This bowl was made by Archimede Seguso, using their polveri technique, and still bears the scalloped Murano Glass label on the base (worn), known to have been used exclusively by the Archimede Seguso factory.

Measures approx 1.5 inches tall by 3.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just an intact manufacturing air bubble in the glass.
