Archimede Seguso Murano Bullicante Pink Glass Lamp Base

Description

This is a magnificent 1950/60's Venetian pink glass lamp base, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Has an encased controlled bubble effect in the glass, known as bullicante. This lamp was made by Archimede Seguso, unmarked, but several examples can be found online with the scalloped Murano label used exclusively by Seguso. Reference: [click here].

Measures approx 5.5 inches tall by 4.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

The glass is in excellent condition, no chips or cracks. Obviously the lamp needs wiring and a bulb fitting adding to the top, which can be obtained cheaply at any electrical store.
