Barbini Murano Biomorphic Gold Leaf Lattimo Glass Bowl

Description

This is a magnificent large and heavy 1950/60's Venetian freeform biomorphic glass bowl / ashtray with mexican sombrero hat design, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. This gold leaf and bubble design is most often attributed to Barbini. In a stunning combination of bright yellow glass glass cased in white lattimo glass, with gold leaf inclusions and a controlled bubble effect known as 'a bolle'.
