Salviati Murano Zanfirico & Aventurine Glass Tumbler/Vase

Description

Here is a wonderful Venetian glass tumbler or small vase, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Decorated with alternating stripes of white zanfirico lattice filigree trimmed in copper aventurine, and blue + yellow ribbons. Most likely made by Salviati, similar items are shown in the book "Italian Glass - Century 20" by Leslie Pina, page 139.

Size

Measures approx 3 inches tall by 2.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks. The rim has a wavy uneven finish from the manufacturing process, see pictures.
