Murano/Venetian Sommerso Pink Glass Vase

Description

Here is a wonderful 1950/60's Venetian freeform glass vase, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. In a stunning combination of cranberry red/pink glass cased in amber & green bands, and further encased in clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique. Still bears the remains of a label.

Measures approx 6.5 inches tall by 4.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks other than a tiny fleabite right at the top of the vase, shown in final picture.
