Large Murano/Sommerso Organic Red + Blue Glass Vase

Description

Here is a wonderful large and heavy 1950/60's Venetian freeform glass vase, probably made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. In a stunning combination of ruby red glass cased in blue glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique.

Size

Measures approx 12.25 inches tall by 5.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks other than one tiny nibble to one of the tips on the rim, shown in final picture.
