Mandruzzato Murano Faceted Red & Amber Sommerso Glass Bowl

Description

Here is a wonderful chunky, part textured Venetian glass bowl, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. This design was made by Mandruzzato, and possibly other factories. In a stunning combination of orangey red glass cased in a band of amber glass, which is further encased in a part textured, part angular block of clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique. Still bears the original Murano label, however this is very worn and nothing can be made out.

Size

Measures approx 3.25 inches tall by 5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks other than a tiny nibble to the inside rim, shown in final picture.
