Murano/Venetian Red & Amber Sommerso Glass Stem Vase

Description

A Venetian glass stem vase, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. In a stunning combination of red glass cased in amber glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique. Still bears the original generic "Made in Murano" label.

Size

Measures approx 10 inches tall by 3.75 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just some very minor internal staining from use, shown in final picture, and a couple of small surface scratches.
