Murano Blue & Amber Sommerso Glass Swan or Duck Figurine

Description

Here is a wonderful 1950/60's Venetian glass swan or duck sculpture, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy.  In a stunning combination of blue and amber glass encased in clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique. Can appear green depending on the viewing angle, when the blue and amber overlap.

Size

Measures approx 6 inches tall by 4.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just a very small area with a dull finish, to the top edge of the applied clear glass foot, shown in final picture. Could be the result of minor restoration, but there does not appear to be any glass missing, so most likely just a manufacturing flaw.
