Arte Nuova Murano Green & Amber Sommerso Glass Bowl

Description

Here is a wonderful Venetian glass bowl, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Made by Arte Nuova in the 1950's/60's, unmarked, but this design can be found online with a label which reads "Arte Nuova Murano, Pustetto & Zanetti, Made in Italy". In a stunning combination of green glass cased in a band of amber glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique.

Size

Measures approx 2.25 inches tall by 7 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks other than a couple of nicks to the base rim, shown in final picture.
