Description

A stunning British blue + green glass paperweight sculpture of a parrot. Made by Wedgwood, pattern number SG428, unmarked. From the range of animals + plants designed by Ronald Stennett-Willson and Paul Miller in the 1970's. The parrot is one of the rarest pieces from this range. Shown on page 70 of the book "Wedgwood Glass" by Susan Tobin.

Size

Measures approx 6.25 inches tall by 4 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just a misshaped area to the base rim, which has a highly polished finish like the rest of the piece, and seems to be they way it was made rather than later restoration, but hard to know for certain, please see final picture.
