Harrachov Czech Green Opalescent Glass Bowl by Milan Metelak

Description

A wonderful Czech green glass 'Floret' bowl or posy vase with opalescent white vertical ribbing. Made by the Harrachov glassworks, and designed by Milan Metelak in 1966, pattern number 5/4057. Similar pieces are shown in the 1987 Harrachov Catalogue, kindly provided online by Jindřich Pařík [link] and this shape is also shown in the 1967 Czech Glass Review [link]. An similar vase in the same colours and pattern is also shown in the book 'Czech Art Glass, A Private Collection, Part 3', page 15.

Size

Measures approx 3.5 inches tall by 6 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks other than a nick to the inside rim, shown in final picture.
