Zelezny Brod ZBS Neodymium Czech Glass Hedgehog

Description

A stunning Czech/Bohemian glass hedgehog sculpture, made in very unusual and quite rare neodymium glass (also known as alexandrite glass), which changes colour according to different lighting conditions. The hedgehog appears pink in natural sunlight or yellow artificial light, and smoky lilac in fluorescent/white light (see pictures)!This is due to the presence of neodymium oxide (Nd²O³) in the glass.

Measures approx 4.5 inches tall by 3.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
