Description

A wonderful Victorian pressed glass basket weave spill vase, made in black Milk glass (also known as Vitro-Porcelain glass. Made by British company Sowerby in the 1880's, and bears their trademark of a peacock on the inside base, as well as a design lozenge. This design, pattern number 1154 1/2 is shown on page 1 of Sowerby's Illustrated Pattern Book No IX, issued in June 1882. A wonderful Victorian moulded black Milk glass toothpick holder or spill vase. Made by British company Sowerby in the 1890's, and bears their trademark of a peacock on the inside base, as well as a design lozenge. A stunning item, which would make a great addition to any collection!

Measures approx 3.25 inches tall by 3.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

No chips or cracks other than a couple of nicks to the rim and base, shown in final pictures.
