Iwatsu Hineri Japanese Pink Cased Glass Vintage Vase

Description

A pink cased glass vase, made in Japan, most likely by the Iwatsu glassworks, as part of their Hineri range. Often mistaken for Murano glass, but similar items from this range can be found with labels that read "IW, Hineri, Made in Japan". Often these were exported by a wholesaler / distributer named Kamei, and are sometimes labelled "Kamei, Made in Japan". Has a shallow concave polished pontil to the base.

Measures approx 6.25 inches tall by 5.75 inches in diameter at widest point.

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
