Murano Venetian Yellow & Blue Sommerso Glass Swan Sculpture

Description

Here is a wonderful large 1950/60's Venetian glass swan sculpture, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. In a stunning combination of yellow glass encased in pale blue glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique.

Size

Measures approx 10.25 inches tall by 5.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks other than a few small, smooth dimpled nicks to the base rim, which I expect have been there since manufacture when the base was ground flat, shown in final pictures. Also has a couple of minor surface scratches.
