Isle of Wight Studio / Harris 'Azurene Red' Glass Bird

Description

A beautiful red glass bird sculpture with gold and silver leaf inclusions, designed by Michael Harris in collaboration with William Walker in 1978, for his renowned British glassworks Isle of Wight Studio, part of the Azurene pattern range. This "Azurene Red" colourway is very rare as it was only in production from 1986-87. No label.

Measures approx 3 inches tall by 3.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just a minute fleabite sized surface scratch round the back of the birds head, shown in final picture.
