Murano Red & Green Gold Leaf Sommerso Glass Swan Figurine

Description

Here is a wonderful 1950/60's Venetian glass swan sculpture, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy.  In a stunning combination of red glass cased in green glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique. Also has lots of gold leaf inclusions, which give a stunning effect.

Measures approx 4.25 inches tall by 3.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Has a couple of minute fleabites to the base rim, not visible at all when on display, and shown in final picture.
