Murano Tall Red & Amber Sommerso Glass Swan Sculpture

Description

Here is a wonderful tall 1950/60's Venetian glass swan sculpture, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy.  In a stunning combination of red glass cased in amber glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique.

Size

Measures approx 9.25 inches tall by 5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just a slightly rough finish to the very tip of the beak, which is from the manufacturing process, and shown in final picture.
