Murano Vintage Blue & Amber Sommerso Glass Fish Figurine

Description

Here is a wonderful 1950/60's Venetian glass fish sculpture, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy.  In a stunning combination of blue glass cased in amber glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique.

Size

Measures approx 7.25 inches tall by 9.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Has a small nibble to the base rim, and a manufacturing flaw / dimple to the top of the head, all shown in final pictures, and a couple of small surface scratches.
