Description

Here is a wonderful 1950/60's Venetian glass dove bird sculpture, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. This piece was made by Seguso Vetri d'Arte, using the polveri technique. The attribution comes from labelled examples shown on the Collectors Weekly website [here] (note, the label shown was used by Seguso Vetri d'Arte, not Archimede Seguso, as suggested in the article). In a stunning combination of red and clear glass with lots of gold leaf inclusions encased in the glass.

Size

Measures approx 2.5 inches tall by 3.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
