Description

Here is a wonderful 1950/60's Venetian freeform glass bowl/dish, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. This piece was made by Barovier & Toso, and possibly designed by the renowned Italian designer Ercole Barovier. This piece is from the 'Zebrati' range. A very similar piece can be seen in the book 'Italian Glass: Century 20' by Leslie Pina, page 140. In a stunning combination of clear cased glass with a dark amber swirling pattern, and loads of gold leaf inclusions encased in the glass!

Size

Measures approx 3 inches tall by 6 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks other than a nibble to the inside rim, shown in final picture.
