Salviati Murano Zanfirico & Aventurine Glass Vase

Description

Here is a wonderful Venetian glass miniature vase or shot glass, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Decorated with alternating stripes of white criss-cross latticino/zanfirico strands and white twisted ribbons trimmed in golden coloured copper aventurine. Attributed to Salviati, unmarked. Similar items can be seen in the book "Italian Glass Century 20" by Leslie Pina, page 55.

Size

Measures approx 2 inches tall by 1.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
