LABELLED Seguso Vetri d'Arte Murano Glass 'Scavo' Bowl

Description

Here is a wonderful, large and very heavy (2.8kg unpacked) Venetian thick, clear glass bowl with speckled white 'scavo' finish, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Made by Seguso Vetri d'Arte, and still bears the original factory label. This style of label was used by the factory between 1980 and 1993.

Size

Measures approx 2.75 inches tall by 7.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks. There is a small cluster of tiny white air bubbles inside the base, shown in final picture. They may look a bit like scratches or scuffs in the picture, but they are deep inside the thick glass, not on the surface. Also has a couple of small brown marks to the surface near the base rim on one side, see 7th picture.
