This is a magnificent Venetian blue, green and clear glass bird, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Made by V. Nason & C., and still bears the original factory label. The green parts contain small amounts of uranium in the glass mixture, and therefore glow bright green under UV light, a feature which has become very collectable these days.Size
